Overview

UBCO designs, manufactures, markets and distributes digitally connected Utility (on-road and off-road) 2X2 and 4X4 Electric Vehicles (‘UEVs’) as well as connected products and services, including portable power, accessories and subscription software. UBCO was founded on the idea of an UEV that would transform the way people ride, work and play. UBCO first built the 2X2 bike to help out on the farm, but now has many different applications, from the mountains to the surf to the city (agriculture/farming, recreation/adventure, and urban on-road).

As a first mover with multiple product development cycles, UBCO has a deep competitive advantage in the off-road and dual purpose (farming, forestry, adventure tourism, transport fleet) space, which plays to New Zealand’s strengths and global brand recognition. Whilst UBCO have competitors for each separate product offering, no other company offers a unified approach with digitally integrated hardware and software. UBCO offers a UEV platform that is lightweight, quiet, has zero emissions, and is safe and easy to use. This addresses key customer problems in a world where safety and carbon emissions reduction initiatives are becoming increasingly important from both consumer values and government support perspectives.
